Thorri Hringsson is an artist, wine, food and restaurant critic, teacher and passionate angler who has been painting landscapes for the last 20 years. Born in Reykjavík and educated in Iceland and the Netherlands, he spends his time between studios in downtown Reykjavík and in Aðaldalur, at the banks of the great salmon river Laxá in Aðaldalur. His subjects originate all from the nature at Aðaldalur and almost exclusively from his family farm.

His works have been exhibited widely in Iceland, Europe and the USA and are in all major public collections in Iceland as well as in numerous private collections in Europe and USA.
